    California Zoroastrian Center/Council on Persian Culture and Massiah Foundation Educational Scholarships


    Dear All;

    Following, please find the detail requirements and other pertinent information regarding the Massiah Foundation Educational Scholarships. As you may know these scholarships in the amount of $10,000.00 are funded by Dr. Fariborz Maseeh for qualified Zoroastrian students.     The Massiah scholarships will be awarded to two (2) qualified, full-time Zoroastrian students who are studying in 12th grade high school or are undergraduate or graduate students as of December 31st 2006, majoring in Arts, Science or Engineering.

    Qualifications;
    Admission or enrollment in one of the top accredited US universities.
    Academic excellence in Arts, Science or Engineering with a minimum of 3.5 cumulative GPA.
    · Based on the student’s high school records for candidates with less than one year of college with minimum SAT of 2100, or
    · On the student’s college records for students with more than one year of college.
    · Two letters of recommendations from professors.


    Recognitions;
    The scholarships will be named the Massiah Scholarships and the recipient will be designated as Massiah Scholars.
    Each student will be awarded $5,000.00 towards his or her educational expenses.
    The award will be presented to the students in the fall of 2007 in a special ceremony at California Zoroastrian Center in Westminster, California or any other similarly appropriate place.
    Payments for educational expenses will be paid within 30 days of the award ceremony of scholars.

    To apply for the scholarships, please send your transcripts with a brief cover letter, including your contact information and recommendation letters to the following address or to emehrfar@yahoo.com and CC to cPc_Conference@cZc.org with email subject of ‘cZc/cPc Massiah Scholarship’ at your earliest convenience. We will contact those who are qualified. And please forward this email to any and all Zoroastrain students whom you know studying in U.S.
